In CAMP CHALLENGE, Youth Development starts from our own instructors.
Recently, Our instructors participated in the Leave No Trace (LNT) introductory workshop, an experience that greatly enriched both their knowledge and skills. This training was part of their ongoing professional development, aimed at equipping them with the knowledge to promote responsible and sustainable outdoor practices.
Our instructors learned how to minimise human impact on the natural environments through proper waste disposal, the importance of using durable surfaces for travel and camping, and the need to respect wildlife and other visitors. These principles are critical for preserving the pristine condition of natural areas and ensuring they remain enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
By attending this workshop, our instructors have gained valuable insights that they now integrate into our outdoor adventure programs. This knowledge transfer has significantly enhanced the quality of our programs, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among participants.
The benefits of this training extend beyond individual practices; they have cultivated a collective responsibility towards nature. Participants are now more aware of their actions and are equipped with the habits to leave no trace, ensuring that our natural spaces remain unspoiled for future generations. This commitment to environmental education and stewardship underscores the value of ongoing learning and professional development in the outdoor adventure field. Together, we are making strides towards a more conscientious and eco-friendly outdoor community.
