Jessie

Instructor

Jessie fell in love with life in Singapore after spending a semester at NUS as an exchange student in 2006. She happily returned to Singapore to join the staffs at CAMP CHALLENGE after recently graduating from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Recreation Administration. While she was studying, Jessie also volunteered as a mentor in the “Big Brothers/Big Sisters” organization, coached a running program aimed at empowering pre-adolescent girls, and was a founding member of an association focused on encouraging exchanges between American and Singaporean students.

In addition, she brings along a wide range of experiences as a CAMP counselor at multiple summer CAMPs in America. She feels particularly passionate about working with people living with disabilities after working at a CAMP for kids with serious medical conditions and volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding center. In her free time, Jessie loves being in the outdoors and being active. Specifically, she enjoys long distance running, salsa dancing, traveling, playing her guitar, and being by the sea.

She is thrilled to be back in Singapore combining her love of working with kids, outdoor recreation, and interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds.
