Dave was very active throughout secondary school, he was actively involved in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) where he quickly attained the rank of Master Sergeant and held the position of the Unit Sergeant Major. He continued his journey with NCC as a Cadet Lieutenant. During secondary school he was also a Peer Support Leader and a member of the Student Council. As a member of the student council he organised numerous camps and co-circular activities for his peers and juniors.
After completing secondary school, Dave immersed himself in the outdoor adventure industry and has spent the last few years working as an adventure learning instructor. Dave has acquired technical skills such as Personal Star 2 Level Proficiency in Kayaking and First Aid Certification by the Singapore First Aid Training Centre. To further his qualifications in this industry he completed the National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) with the Singapore Sports Council (SSC). Outside of work, Dave participates in triathlons and adventure races and has recently conquered the highest peak in South East Asia, Mount Kinabalu.
Dave holds a specialist diploma holder in Sports & Exercise Science from Republic Polytechnic and is proficient in speaking English and Chinese Mother Tongue.
